Former Packers tackle Rasheed Walker signs with Carolina Panthers on one-year deal

GREEN BAY − Former Green Bay Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker has signed with the Carolina Panthers to a one-year deal, according to multiple national reports.

With the retirement of former Packers tackle Yosh Nijman and Ikem Ekwonu suffering a ruptured patella tendon during the Panthers' postseason, Walker gets the chance to start on a new team.

A three-year starter for the Packers at left tackle, the former seventh-round draft pick won the starting job over former first-round pick Jordan Morgan, but had some struggles during the 2025 season. Walker played inconsistent in pass blocking and run blocking, and was the second-most penalized player with nine, two below Keisean Nixon.

The move makes room for Morgan to solidify himself as an NFL left tackle.
