How many wins for the Commanders in 2026?
· Yahoo Sports
How many wins will the Washington Commanders have in 2026? The NFL revealed the 2026 schedule over a week ago, and one thing stands out: the Commanders have a daunting start to the season, with back-to-back road games against NFC East foes Philadelphia and Dallas. Washington is the only NFL team to open the season with two road games against divisional foes.
The Commanders' first home game comes in Week 3, when they'll host the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. In Week 4, they travel to London to face the Indianapolis Colts, before returning home to face another NFC East foe, the New York Giants, before making a cross-country trip to San Francisco for Week 6.

That's a tough way to begin the season.
We made our predictions for Washington's 2026 season, projecting a 10-7 record for the Commanders. As we explained, the 2026 Commanders could win anywhere from 7 to 10 games. They'll be improved next season, but they'll also need some things to go right. What Washington cannot afford is another slow start.
Ali Bhanpuri and Tom Blair of NFL.com recently predicted the 2026 season for every NFC team. The two analysts agreed about the Commanders: both predicted a 7-10 record. Each analyst also believes Washington goes 2-4 in its first six games.
Are the 2026 Commanders closer to their breakout 12-5 campaign from two years ago, or the 5-12 collapse from last season? I figure somewhere in the middle. Washington's defense should be better after spending both dollars and draft picks to bolster its front seven. They'll find out real quickly whether those investments were worth it, with three potent offenses on tap to open the campaign. While going through Washington's slate, it was hard to come away feeling confident about many of their W's, even though I had them notching seven in total. The Commanders remind me a lot of the Falcons from last year: I could be wrong on nearly every game and still end up nailing their final record.
Bhanpuri and Blair agreed that Washington's Week 11 Monday night game vs. Cincinnati is the "toughest to call."
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jayden Daniels flashes on the Monday night stage, reminding everyone he's still the guy who (nearly) swept the OROY vote just two seasons ago.
Do you agree? Or do you like Commanders Wire's prediction better?
The Commanders are a team of mystery in 2026. They've made a ton of improvements this offseason, but with new offensive and defensive coordinators, predicting their season is a bit more difficult. In case you were wondering, there was one vote for the Cowboys winning the division and another for the Eagles. No such love for the Commanders and Giants.
